A creative community experience built around paint by numbers, together with Carmen Cuiñas and Café Originale.

The Artful Pause revisits a practice originally created to make painting more accessible and brings it into the present from a different perspective: as a shared, analogue and pressure-free pause. Paint by numbers offers a guided structure that lets you focus on colour, gesture and process, without needing to know how to paint or face the blankness of an empty page.

Today, it is also finding a renewed place within a culture drawn to slower, more tactile and mindful activities.

The experience does not end with the kit.

We select works by contemporary artists with a distinct visual voice, adapted to the format while respecting their composition, palette and way of seeing. Before we begin, we take a moment to discover the person behind each piece and the visual world we are about to inhabit through colour.

And then there is the table.

Carmen and Café Originale bring something essential to the experience: a considered setting, hospitality, and that everyday ritual of gathering around a table. Because for us, community is not something you force; it is something you gradually find, often through shared affinities.
